Yesterday Argentina became the first Latin American country to legalize same-sex marriage, granting gay and lesbian couples all the legal rights, responsibilities and protections that marriage provides to their straight counterparts. Some LGBT business leaders predict an economic ripple effect with increasing tourism among gays and lesbians who will see Argentina as a friendly, desirable destination.
